Chris contacted me through Twitter and thankfully agreed to do an interview with me. Incidentally, he was with HMH-463, the squadron that recently lost 12 Marines in what’s believed to be a mid-air collision over the water off of Oahu.
My buddy, Lou, wished to keep his last name private, but he was eager to share his story with me, so here it is. I currently work with him and have become close friends with him over the last few months. Enjoy!
Here’s my interview with Mike Bledsoe, former Navy E6, co-owner of Faction Strength and Conditioning – the home of Crossfit Memphis, and co-host of Barbell Shrugged and Barbell Business podcasts. These can be found at http://www.factionsc.com, http://www.barbellshrugged.com and http://www.barbellbusiness.com, and both of the podcasts are on iTunes. Go give them a listen!
After much procrastination, here’s Justin’s interview! Also, I see that he now hosts Creative Writing Career Podcast, which is linked on his site, justinmsloan.wordpress.com. Please go check it out and show your support to him!
Edit: I just heard from Justin that he now runs a new site at http://militaryveteransincreativecareers.com. Please give it a look!
Hey, everybody! I apologize for the six-month delay in activity. I was feeling a lack of motivation to keep this moving a while back, then got into the habit of avoiding doing anything with it. Fortunately, I’ve felt a renewed sense of motivation to make this big, and with the help of a recent coworker of mine – also a Marine veteran, this will be rocking again soon. I’ve already done a new interview, and one will follow with the gentleman who’s helping me with it. Anyway, that’s it for now, and I look forward to kicking out plenty of content to eventually give you new material daily!
Aren, admittedly not a talkative guy, gives us some laughs and a recounting of his Marine Corps career as an Ugly Angel.
Zac speaks of dealing with the difficulty of getting out, and the need for healing after traumatic situations.
